I’ve never seen that. Is it good so far? I’ll have to watch it. I love those scenes with George and I wonder if they will show the bum in the garden that John invited in?
Yes he did…there were a lot of people close to them at the end…many of them said a divorce was on it’s way. You never know what is true but some were close friends with John.
To see Willie and his song doing it made it that much better. I have a lot of respect for Willie…yea it’s probably the best pure song off of that album
I couldn’t say that for me…but I do like it. I think this was one of his strongest songs on Double Fantasy. Lennon’s voice is probably one of my favorite voices other than Van Morrison and Steve Marriott. So for me it’s hard to beat his voice.
Jim I wasn’t trying to correct you….I thought she might have had another book…the reason I remember is because of pictures of John carrying that book around.
wow, that was cool! I like John’s better, but that was a very cool cover. Glad willie sang a little…presumably one of the young guys is his son but wonder who the other two are.
I am watching the Netflix special Above Us Only Sky.

I am about half way through it and I have developed a new appreciation for Yoko by watching it.

Very nice. Willie didn’t add a bunch to it but what he did was outta sight. Is his son the one on his right?

I’m not sure if he is the one on the right or behind Willie.

That’s cool. Perhaps my favorite Lennon tune off the Double Fantasy album!

It is isn’t it. I just found it a few hours ago and had to share it…Willie playing on a Lennon song…it doesn’t get more awesome than that!

Willie and his music have always been special to me. I wrote a blog early on about him. So many great songs. He’s a talent.
I love the fact that he is always making music. He has done so many cover songs on his albums and they all have that “Willie” spin.
His voice isn’t what it was, but the music in his soul still blazes on ….

Man he enjoys playing music just for playing music…not for money, fame, or anything else. He is an honest pure musician…and a joy of a dude to boot.
How have you been doing Keith? How is your job going?

That he does!
Things are good! I almost called you on my way in tonight and my brother called. Will try to call and shoot the breeze next week.

Willie is BELOVED in Austin. I had co-workers that were fierce Willie fans. Stevie Ray, too.

Hell Willie is beloved everywhere. The guy is Keith Richards cool…he crosses genres with his coolness.

Well, I will have to be different. Not a fan. I was more for Waylon.

I like Waylon also…What a pair of troublemakers they probably were…more like rock star rebels.

Pretty much.

I like this better than Lennon’s original.

Me neither not even close…but I really liked it all the same. Pleased Willie took a verse thought he wasn’t going to!

Willie is the country equivalent to Keith Richards…he has that cool about him.

Absolutely right. Love me some Willie nelson.

It said that Yoko wrote the song Imagine at least a lot more of the lyrics than John did.

I could see that because they did everything together…we will never know for sure I dont’ guess.

She wrote a book of poetry called Butterfly, which contained a lot of the ideas that John used in the song.

Ok that makes sense…he also liked her book Grapefruit.
