Beatles new Let It Be video

Apple has released a clean version of the Let It Be film. Today they dropped a new video of the song Let It Be. I have had this movie since the 80s but you could only get a terrible quality version. This video shows how clear it will be as in The Get Back film a few years ago.

My only complaint is I wish the Let It Be version would have included George’s distorted solo.

This is the video of the title song they just released today.

  1. Cool! I saw a notification about that from TheBeatles.com earlier this week.

I have to say the Peter Jackson “Get Back” documentary gave me new appreciation of the “Let It Be” album. I think the title track, even the often criticized Phil Spector Wall of Sound mix, is one of Paul’s most soulful songs he has ever written.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a Disney+ subscription and don’t want to sign up for the Mickey Mouse channel. Perhaps, I can get another trial version, which is what I did to get access to the Peter Jackson documentary series.

      1. I still have Disney + as a free perk because of my phone package — but I never watch it, which should tell you something. I did watch the Peter Jackson series on it though 🙂

  2. I had a copy of the original film and as you say, it was raw and rough, not a good effort. Peter Jacksons film was superb, but much too long. Yes, they went out on top, the way a band should. My band called it quits in2019 because we were all old men, and nothing looks as silly as old guys playing Gloria. But, If we made the money the Stones do, then I might reconsider. Good read, Max.

  3. I didn’t know this had dropped as don’t have disney either but I will sign up for a month then cancel. They actually do have a couple great shows. But certainly not worth keeping the channel on an ongoing basis.

  4. I heard them talking about it on the , appropriately enough, Beatles station on sat. yesterday – they agreed the quality of the images and sound was vastly improved but said that Ringo still thought the movie was too negative and focused too much on their arguments and problems and not enough on the good. If I have a chance to see it, I will, but I won’t be going back to subscribe to Disney TV just to see it. I will watch the song video though… thanks for posting that and letting us know.

    1. Bailey is all excited…I told him that it was not a very happy movie. He is determined to see it…after watching Get Back he asked me why people were suprised…and I told him…watch Let It Be and you will find out.

    1. The Jackson film was much more merrier than this one. I liked that it showed them playing so much and not bickering as much as Let It Be.

    1. I know what you mean…I cannot listen to The Long and Winding Road…I just can’t…I would add Satisfaction and a few others in there because of being just overplayed….not just a little but a lot of other ones.

    1. I’m a second generation Beatles fan…I found them when I was 8 in 1975 and I read about this film for years…I watched Get Back released a couple years ago…and it was like it was recorded yesterday with older clothes…I can’t believe they cleaned it up this well….sorry for the long drawn out reply! Thanks for reading.
