A few months ago, I posted about us finding a Great Pyrenees we named Buddy. Well, we found the owner, but not before Buddy left us a gift- or 8 gifts that keep giving. On May 8, Martha had 8 puppies between midnight and 5 in the morning…without further ado…here they are!
Buddy is at his home, and Martha is doing well and has been a super mom. It’s been an adventure for all of us. We barricade them in a room, and they bust out. Usually the one leading the charge is the only one that has a name…Cosmo…and that would be number 6 on here. Of course, we picked him out to keep before we knew of Mr. Cosmo’s rebellious nature. Some of their paws are brownish in the pictures; that would be them getting to eat off a plate for the first time. What’s the fun in that when they can romp in it as well!

That puts adorable on high alert! Congratulations and well done Martha.

Saint Pyrenees! They are at a perfect age. You feel down…just walk by and pick one up…an automatic happy moment.

It looks like more fun than a barrel of monkeys, incredibly lively, chaotic, and highly entertaining.

I’ve got them out and just played with all of them…they are a lot of fun.

They do look cute as hell. I can’t help but wonder when the hacienda of Max will go to the dogs though. How soon before it feels like you have half a dozen bison sized pups making your living room their own?!?

lol… yea they look all innocent right now…but in a couple of weeks…pure mayhem. We have around 5 so far that people want…and we are keeping one. They say around 6-7 weeks is when you can start giving them to people…but we are giving it 8 weeks…around July 4th weekend.
We got some large pieces of plastic today to go on the floor…it’s going to be fun!

Yes it is! But a lot of fun. If you are feeling down…no problem…just go by and pick one up!

I think after having lost three dogs, two bunnies and a cat over the past 10 years or so, my wife is done with getting new pets – at least for the time being. We still have two cat ladies that are now senior citizens.

lol with the senior citizens. We right now…have 8 puppies, 1 Saint, 1 prairie dog, and a bearded dragon…but 7 of those puppies will be gone during July 4th weekend…thats the 8 week mark. We are keeping one.

Way to go Martha! They look like she’s been doing a great job!
Thanks for the photos… bet it wasn’t that easy to get them lol!

Oh…we spent an hour at least…we would place one on a small table…it would twist, turn, flop down…do everything but stay still long enough. Bailey has a professional camera…it sounded like a machine gun…because he would catch those in between move moments.
Getting this with a phone? No dice…I tried.

Wow! They are incredible. What a tremendous gift. I couldn’t imagine doing a puppy again. Too much work. Good luck with that…and enjoy it.

We have never went through this before…and although it’s been a pleasant experience…don’t want to do it again!

The photo of Cosmo reminds me of Snoopy as Fierce Vulture. If I lived closer I’d be sorely tempted to add a puppy to the family.

I didn’t notice that but yes…I see the tree vulture.
I think we have one or two more to give away. July 4 weekend will be the 8 week mark. I have to admit…I will miss them.

those are some cute pups! boy oh boy though, what a handful! It must be fun as they start to run about and discover so many new things to them! Are you going to let them go outside soon?

Not right now…they are too young to get any kind of shots yet…I think…so we are not taking any chances on ticks, fleas, or anything else. We have a playpen we keep them in…and we bought a lot of plastic to cover the floor lol.

You better be careful or you will recieve a special delivery of 8 live little souls…but they won’t stay little.

They are adorable, Max! All of them are just beautiful. They’re going to be big, right? I would love one if they weren’t going to be large.

Yes they will be huge. A Saint and a Pyrenees…the father is larger than Martha. But…he has the best temperment I’ve ever seen on a dog.

lol… funny..they are larger in person than they look on here…it took Bailey an hour to take these…he has a professional camera and thats the only reason he got a pic at all is because it takes them really fast. They wouldn’t stop moving.

8 gifts. That’s so cool. After the recent death of my dog, I have been watching a lot of dog and puppy videos. When I’m ready, I’ll have another four-legged companion at my side. Until then, loving the pics and vids.

I do know that is hard…getting over a pet. It hit me really hard in the past…it took me a year each time to get another dog. I’m glad we are keeping one of these…I wish we could keep more! We have all of them but 2 given away…they will get them at 8 weeks on July 4th Weekend.
