Omeleto

This won’t be a long post, but it’s something that you might like. I like movies a lot, but I don’t have time to watch a bunch of them. Omeleto is a company that shows short films from different filmmakers. I’ve seen them from 4 minutes to 30 minutes long.

They have every kind of short film you can think of. Time Travel, Sci Fi, Art Films, romantic, action, comedy, thrillers, and more. All the films I’ve seen have high production values. These are not amateurs…these are quality. Many are award-winning shorts. Now, some are hit and miss to me, but worth the short amount of time you put into them. They also come from all parts of the world. I’ve seen some with subtitles, but I’ve seen a lot of Irish and British-made ones as well.

Here is the LINK to their channel.

I’ll recommend two here. One is about a Time Loop with two completely different brothers, and the other is a horror film.

Exit Strategy…a time loop film. 15 minutes long.

This one is a horror short film…19 minutes long.

      1. Somedays in IT…you are kinda like a fireman…it’s either very slow or all hell is breaking loose….its just the hell part started more frequently so I had to cut back posting. Between calls I’ll catch one of these mini movies lol.

  1. Very cool…good stuff. Quality, like you say. I’m a sucker for the time loop concept. It’s the only Sci-Fi that I consistently go for. I really liked Exit Strategy. The acting…script…cinematography. I like the twist.

Warnings is good too. It’s very effective with ratcheting tension. The color palate is eerily pretty and the lighting gives a lot of texture to the mood of the piece. The lead actor is very good…I thought the fireman brother in Exit Strategy was also superb.

    1. Well we have that in common about time loops. When I first started to watch them, I thought they are so short how can they build attention but they do.
Exit Strategy… I agree with what you said. These are very professionally done. This isn’t middle schoolers with a camera.
I love the ending of Warnings and the dream sequence was not overdone.
So happy that you like these. They can be hit or miss… but so can movies.

  2. Both leave a big impact. I almost had to turn the 2nd one off before the end. Love the premise of the first one. Made me think of my 2 sons. I’ve watched Omeleto before and appreciate what they do.

    1. Thanks for giving them a try. I do like Exit Strategy a lot.
Dang it. Our electricity was off for 3 hours… came back on and now as I was replying to your comment…it’s off again. We had bad storms…. Tis the season!

  3. I watched Exit Strategy last week and enjoyed it a lot. Tried watching Warnings yesterday, but didn’t get into it – not the story, the story’s okay, but just the way it was filmed, I think. I love Omeleto, more good films on it than not and just right for those times when I want to watch something but am too tired or busy for something longer.

I came across a short film on a different channel the other day that made me laugh.

    1. Exit Strategy really stuck with me…the other one is a pure atmosphere horror short…it is strange but I loved the dream sequence.
Oh I liked that one! You wouldn’t think something that quick would work…but it does. It was like a short Twilight Zone.
