Merry Christmas to Everyone!

I promise after tomorrow…no more Christmas posts!

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, whichever you prefer. Since I started this blog, I have tried to post an interesting song or some pop culture fact. Most of you drop by for a view every day, and I appreciate it so much.

I look forward to finishing this year and discovering the new year together. I can’t believe this is my seventh year doing this, and if not for the feedback I get daily, I would have stopped a long time ago. I don’t know how much I discovered about music you didn’t already know, but I have learned so much from you all.

When I started in 2017, it took me around six months to get one follower, one like, and a comment. I don’t take anyone for granted, and I want you to know that. Also, a huge THANK YOU. You don’t have to stop by, but you do—you must be a glutton for punishment! I hope you and your families have a happy holiday and safe travels.

Signed

Max…the owner of this crummy joint.

  1. Same here Max. After tomorrow, it’s back to my pre Christmas Countdown routine. Our sentiments about readership and motivation align perfectly lol
Congratulations on your accomplishment of attaining such a wide readership and loyal following. Happy Christmas Eve and I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas!

      1. Well by the time we dropped off my sister… we would have had to wait 4 hours for the next showing so it’s gonna be Friday or Saturday now

  2. Merry Christmas, Max! You do a grand job, and I so admire your commitment!
I’ll shortly be on blog (almost) silence for a month while Diane and I head back on out to India for a month. I may jump in here and other blogs with the odd comment (aren’t they all 😉 ) but I’m sure you’ll understand if I don’t find the time amongst all the lovely people, screaming sunshine, beaches, sights, colour and delicious food. 😀

Merry Christmas t and a very Happy New Year to you and all your readers.

    🙂

  3. Weird story…I met Al crossing the street on Market & Van Ness right off of downtown or you can call it downtown San Francisco. I recognized ’em & said ‘Hey Al’ & he stopped & talked a little bit. He was still a reverend then & wasn’t really interested in talking about his pop career. It was in the early 90’s.

    1. I love Al Green…the next time I go to Memphis…I thought about dropping by and attend a service.
Yea I’ve read where he is like that…he will talk about God but not his past.

      1. Ya’, that was it Max…he was happy to stop & let me know yes it was him but he wasn’t interested in talking about his past. I remember that distinctively & I always wondered what he was doing in downtown San Francisco then.

      2. I’ve only met a few…the biggest thing to happen to me was having breakfast with Loretta Lynn when I was 8…a nicer woman has never been alive.
I also talked with Don Williams a lot as a kid…other than that it’s been few and far between…oh meeting Dawn Wells was one of the best.

      3. Wow Max! You’ve been touched by greatness also. All 3 of those people I would’ve been honored to meet especially Loretta Lynn. She seemed like a person that had a lot that all of us could learn from & God put them here for us to learn from.

      4. I agree……my mother and I were at her ranch when she opened it up to the public and I was 8 years old… she pointed at us and invited us in her house for breakfast…I can’t tell you how nice she was as a person…even at that age I knew.

  4. Yep, all the usual seasons greetings. It’s been another great year, and thanks for the sharing of thoughts and opinions over the year/s. I’ve said before but this (WP) is how social media should work, good sharing of information and ideas, building friendships, not angry cross talking. Have a great time off. Happy holidays!
