Happy New Year!

This year was tough to say the least! I’ve gotten to know many more bloggers this year and have enjoyed all of you. When Covid started I met so many  because I think blogging was an escape for a while when everyone was in lockdown. Many of them stuck around and we have built relationships.

I’ve met some with similar tastes as mine and a few with different tastes but with enough of common ground to learn and appreciate. Newer music, harder music, and I even read some poetry that I never have before. That is what our community is about to me…learning new things and sharing things that will be new to some people. The one word I would use for us…is “Passion”…lets face it. We are not making money at this but we do it for the love of it…and I’m better for it. 

I thanked everyone in my Merry Christmas post…I want to thank you all again. Thanks for all of the comments that you have left…good or bad. I think I’ve learned more than I have shared but I’ll keep trying I promise. 

Well…lets make 2021 MUCH better than 2020…the bar is set pretty damn low so we should be able to make that goal. Everyone be safe in the New Year…

  3. Happy happy New Year to you too Max. I must admit (although I knew you knew and I did too) that I was a bit of a novice when it came to music that you so beautifully depth. So it has been an excellent learning curve for me too. Happy New Year friend – even though I’ve said it already….

    1. I will do that soon. If I have time I’ll do it Sunday. We only had one problem with her and that was when she got her rabies shot…she was deathly sick for 3 days not eating and not keeping anything down…then she snapped out of it. Scared us really bad…but she is doing great. Woke up this morning and she had gotten in bed between Jen and I snoring…she is not shy.

    1. Well for last year…we all needed low pubs…but they wouldn’t let us in anyway. Happy New Year Bruce. That poem was great by the way.

  18. Lovely message Max. You are one of the few contacts I have here and I am greatful to have your friendship via blogging. I haven’t been able to read as many posts of friends as I would have liked or nor I have blogging as much as I would have liked. I admire how you have been able to stick to it and write about your favorite music daily. A job well done buddy. That takes a lot of discipline.
    2020 set a very low bar as far as years are concerned so I hope 2021 is an improvement, but I’m not so sure it will be. That’s just the pessimist in me and how I see the things panning out.

    1. Same with you Matt…I’m grateful to have your friendship.
      I haven’t been able to get around to everyone either. My job has really picked up. There were 8 of us…now there is one…yes I’m the one.

      I wrote a lot of posts and scheduled them everyday…that is the only reason you are seeing things from me right now. I got a week ahead and pretty soon they will run out.

      I dont’ have much hope either but at least we are more prepared for it than last year at this time…it was just a curious virus in China at this time last year.

  19. I’m very happy to read you survived the cutbacks in your business and remain the last person standing. That’s quite the feat! I hope the others have been able to make a transition to another firm of employment. Tough times indeed.
    Regarding your blog posts, we have an old saying called the ‘6 P’s’ in the Navy ‘Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance’. Your scheduling of blog posts points to that. At one point last year, I was ahead 2 weeks in my scheduling of blog posts, thanks to our mutual friend Bruce’s method of keeping on top of his blog posting.

    Anyway’s, I will endeavor to read more posts from you and others since I have added so much great new music to my collection based on your posts.
