This song was released in 1981 and I bought the single. It peaked at #9 in the Billboard 100, #31 in the UK, #7 in Canada. The song was off of Lindsey’s debut album “Law and Order.
The song is in the movie Just One of the Guys
Trouble
Two, ah-three, ah-four!
Two, ah-three, ah-four!
Two, ah-three, ah-four!
Two, ah-three, ah-four!
Two, ah-three, ah-four!
I really should be saying goodnight.
I really shouldn’t stay anymore.
It’s been so long since I held ya.
I’ve forgotten what love is for.
I really shouldn’t stay anymore.
It’s been so long since I held ya.
I’ve forgotten what love is for.
I should run on the double
I think I’m in trouble,
I think I’m in trouble.
I think I’m in trouble,
I think I’m in trouble.
So come to me darlin’ and hold me
Let your honey keep you warm
Been so long since I held ya
I’ve forgotten what love is for.
Let your honey keep you warm
Been so long since I held ya
I’ve forgotten what love is for.
I should run on the double
I think I’m in trouble.
I think I’m in trouble.
I love this song. I can’t believe him and Fleetwood Mac broke up. At their age it’s just plain stupid.

I haven’t read on what caused it.

What understand is he wanted them to put off the tour so he could do other things like a solo tour. they wanted to go ahead an do the tour.

could be right, but man that makes Lindsay look dumb… let’s face it. who’s going to see Lindsay by himself vs who’s going to see him in Fleetwood Mac. I would be curious to see the “new” Mac with Mike Campbell and Neil Finn though- 2 good players to replace him

Seems like there is not a lot of peace with that band.
I like the Peter Green edition also…

Always more of a Buckingham fan than a Mac fan although I do like Christine McVie’s singing and songwriting. This was a great single and an excellent album. He always turns out high quality work. I still can’t believe those jerks kicked him out of the band. I have always viewed them as $$$$$ being the bottom line and this ‘final’ tour is just a money grab in my opinion. In another 5 years there will be another tour.

Lindsey changed their commercial fortunes for sure. One of my good friends feel the same. He is a Lindsey fan first and will not go and see them without him.
His style of playing is his own.
I like Christine’s songs also.

Another band that has sure re-written their history- I bet they have fans who have never heard a pre- Buckingham -Nicks joining the band song.

For the longest time I couldn’t figure out what he was singing in the intro. It sounded like, “A bird, a plane, a train” to me…Ha!

LOL… that is funny. It’s like many people thought Fogerty was singing “bathroom on the right” with Bad Moon Rising.

I always liked this single, though it’s the only solo Buckingham song I know

You probably know Holiday Road from the National Lampoon Vacation movie… Holiday Road and Trouble were probably his biggest.

A couple of weeks ago, I was trying to guess a presale password for a Lindsey Buckingham show, and correctly guessed it–Trouble, haha. It’s not one of my faves of his songs, but I certainly remember it getting a lot of airplay. He’ll be in my area in November, and I’m looking forward to finally seeing his solo show.

I never have seen him before…that should be really good.
I had this single when I was younger. I like his Fleetwood Mac stuff the best…
