another good list for an excellent topic! I should look at more Lz lyrics… some of them are quite interesting and certainly use words well, but I’ve seldom really carefully examined some of it. As for the Grateful Dead, same song ‘and a touch of gray, kind of suits you anyway…’ have always figured that should be my motto since my hair stopped being all-dark brown maybe a decade back!

Oh a girlfriend started to find gray hairs on me while I was 18 or so…by 30 I was almost all salt and pepper. I would dye my hair at 25 lol.
I like these posts a lot…I have one almost ready to go for next time…they are a lot of fun.

So here I am minding my own business doing a little work out listening to a recommendation by deKE, Ace Frehley ‘Origins’ and what does he bust out with? You guessed it ‘Wild Thing’. Ace brings the subtle touches to song. Finding the deeper meaning. Going beyond the beyond.

I don’t know if you will hear it CB…but Ace reminds me of Keith Richards…a sloppy…and I mean that in the best way…guitar player who is most always dead on and he makes it exciting.

Being a considerable stick in the mud I was obsessed in my teens with singing :

Lot of good ones here. I’m not much of a Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen fan but I pretty much like every other song especially Kinks. I don’t know many Grateful Dead songs either. Only the really famous ones.

The Dead had more great lyrics than I thought at first. I am a late bloomer to them. I read a couple of books and started to get into them more. Yea I love the Kinks…a very overlooked band. I’ve said it before…they belong with the Beatles, Who, and Stones.
